For those of us who grew up listening to Oingo Boingo Danny Elfman's first forays into film scoring were met with surprise and skepticism. In the decades since he's done countless scores cemented his legacy and given us some fantastic music over a whole range of genres. Danny has his favorite harmonies and devices of course and we're going break those down and take a look at the ways he leverages his pop sensibilities in his orchestral scores to connect and heighten drama.
